Welcome to our podcast! Today, we introduce Susan Tedeschi, an acclaimed American blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter.

Early Life

Born on November 9, 1970, in Boston, Massachusetts, Tedeschi grew up in a musical family. She began performing in bands at age 13 and later attended the Berklee College of Music, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in musical composition and performance at 20.

Musical Career

In 1993, Tedeschi formed the Susan Tedeschi Band. Her breakthrough came with the 1998 album "Just Won't Burn," achieving Gold certification—a rare feat for blues albums. This success led to Grammy nominations and opportunities to open for legends like B.B. King and Bob Dylan.

Tedeschi Trucks Band

In 2010, Tedeschi and her husband, guitarist Derek Trucks, combined their musical talents to form the Tedeschi Trucks Band. The group has released several acclaimed albums, including "Revelator," which won the Grammy Award for Best Blues Album in 2012.
